OLS 110 - Learning Strategies for College & Career Success 2 CR
This course teaches students the practical skills needed to be successful learners in college and effective participants in workplace training and professional environments. Students explore how they learn best, how to use their accommodations, and how to manage academic and workload expectations across multiple classes/tasks. Through guided practice and hands-on activities, students learn strategies for studying, note taking, active reading, breaking down assignments, organizing information, avoiding plagiarism, and planning ahead. Connections are made between these academic skills and the expectations found in job settings. By the end of the course, students will be able to apply learning strategies that support independence, academic success, and career readiness. Course is graded Credit/No Credit.
