PE 110 - Life Fitness Training I

Life Fitness introduces students to the foundations of fitness and provides a structure to create a regular pattern of participation.  Through successful participation students will gain knowledge and intrinsic motivation to continue these activity behaviors after the completion of the quarter. 

Students are required to work out once per week during the scheduled Fitness Center lab period with section faculty.  Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory

Recommended: Demonstrated interest and motivation to begin and participate in the regular weekly exercise. 
Course Outcomes

  • Set fitness goals, an exercise plan and begin regular exercise participation in and out of the BC Fitness Center Lab. 

  • Become familiar with goal setting and the benefits of exercise reflection 

  • Successful students will create a pattern of regular exercise participation 3-4 days a week over the length of the quarter. 

  • Identify key components of exercise basics and apply knowledge through  
    practical application. 

  • Successful students will experience and gain intrinsic motivation to continue regular exercise as a result of class participation.
