Information Systems and Technology BAS, Cybersecurity ConcentrationThe BAS in Information Systems and Technology (IST), Cybersecurity Concentration will provide students with a broad base of theoretical and technical knowledge, as well as specialized knowledge in one of the concentration areas: application development, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity. This concentration prepares graduates to monitor and maintain system security solutions, including legal, regulatory and internal compliance solutions. Graduates will be able to translate security policy into technical architectures. In addition, this program prepares students for system administration tasks which include interoperation, automation, virtualization, and storage. PROGRAM PREREQUISITES (20-21 CREDITS-GE)Students may be admitted with an associate degree in IT or CS-related field or with 65 equivalent credits that represent the combination of program admission required courses and other college-level credits. Students who don’t have an associate degree in an IT-related field from Bellevue College should contact the program manager for technical prerequisite courses. Technology or math credits must not be more than 5 years old. Math classes more than 5 years old may be accepted based on Math placement test results (see program advisor).
