The Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management & Technology (BAS BMT) will provide students with a foundation of critical thinking, talent management, leadership strategies as well as the latest technical skills including database design, enterprise resource planning, and e-commerce tools that are sought by employers. This degree also prepares graduates to utilize business and data analytics tools to lead programs, projects, and teams. The combination of core business concepts paired with current technology skills provides students with strong career preparation training for a wide variety of roles in today’s business and technology sectors.
This degree completion program is designed for individuals with two-year degrees in business, and information systems with tracks in data analysis and software development.

Degree recipients should possess the skills & abilities described below:
- Apply business topics including operations management, human resource management, and creative problem-solving techniques to develop organizational and talent solutions;
- Work effectively to incorporate current technology concepts including programming, cloud technology, and database design to lead in or in support of organizational goals;
- Develop professional non-verbal and verbal communication skills to effectively support negotiations, conflict resolution, and organizational change management
- Assimilate international business concepts and practices to understand how best to collaborate in a global business environment, participate and innovate in diverse teams;
- Evaluate best practices including business and technology ethics strategies, legal and regulatory standards to make successful business decisions.
Program Eligibility
Individuals must have:
- Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher, with a minimum grade of C in all prerequisite courses.
- At least 20 credits of general education requirements completed as part of an associate degree.
- Technology or math credits must not be more than 5 years old. Math classes more than 5 years old may be accepted based on Math placement test results (see program advisor).

- In addition to eligibility requirements, students must also achieve the following:
- Complete all courses required for the degree with a grade of “C” or better
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for all coursework taken at BC and the courses applied to the degree, including credits transferred from other colleges
- At least 45 quarter credits for the degree must be completed in residence at Bellevue College, of which 30 credits must be upper-division.
Application Process
This is a selective admissions program. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission, as the number of qualified applicants may exceed the number of available seats in the program. It is recommended that students meet with the program manager before filling out the BAS application to make sure they qualify. To be considered for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Business Management and Technology program, prospective students must submit the following:
- First-time Bellevue College students must apply for General Admission before filling out the BAS degree application. Processing time for general admissions is typically 1-3 business days.
- All students who have transfer credits will need to follow the steps for submitting official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges attended other than Bellevue College. This will include completing the program-specific Transfer Credit Request form for each transcript. Your application can be reviewed with unofficial transcripts. However, your acceptance into the program will not be determined until official transcripts have been received and evaluated.
- Fill out and submit the BAS application. You will also be required to upload all unofficial transcripts if not already on file with Bellevue College.
