ROBAI 410 - Human-Centered AI Interaction and Design 5 CR
This course will focus on human-centered interaction and design. Students will learn how to research, evaluate, and design intelligent, useful, and meaningful interfaces and interactions between humans and computers using AI. Emphasis will be placed on building, testing, and prototyping a variety of user interfaces with established human-computer design principles.
Prerequisite(s): ROBAI 240 and admission into the BAS Information Systems and Technology Artificial Intelligence concentration, or permission of instructor.
Course Outcomes
- Demonstrate knowledge of human-AI interaction design concepts and methodologies,
- Identify user needs and establish requirements.
- Explain how cognitive models are used to improve user experience.
- Evaluate interfaces by applying user-centered design theories, terms, principles, and methods.
- Design effective, usable, and human-centered systems using prototypes and proof of concepts.
- Identify metrics to measure usability.
- Perform usability testing and evaluate results.
