 This course provides students with the opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the healthcare environment through industry internship or practicum.   Grading: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory
 
 Prerequisite(s): HCI 465  and permission of instructor.
 
 Course Outcomes
 
 
	Identify and analyze strengths, new skills and knowledge acquired from the internship experience, interactions with colleagues and supervisors, and lessons learned in a reflective journal. Evaluate, integrate and apply skills, concepts and knowledge acquired in the previous classes to real workplace situations and problems.  Demonstrate technical competence to industry professionals by completing projects and deliverables assigned by their worksite supervisor. Document internship accomplishments and activities and articulate the value of those activities and accomplishmentsApply skills and knowledge attained from the program to address real and complicated business issues relevant to the sponsor organization  Develop a written report commensurate with the scope and complexity of the project Solicit performance feedback from a business mentor(s)
