US Federal Income Taxation Certificate

This certificate provides a thorough exploration of the tax implications of business decisions, aimed at imparting a comprehensive understanding of tax knowledge necessary for identifying, researching, and solving tax issues, as well as effective tax planning.

Emphasizing an advanced approach to federal taxation principles, the course delves into federal income taxation concepts and provisions related to property transactions, partnerships, corporations, trusts, and estates.

Students are equipped to understand and analyze the complexities of federal tax law, preparing them to adeptly navigate the tax system and its influence on various business and investment decisions, fostering a capability to approach taxation scenarios with confidence and expertise.

Eligibility requirements:

  •  ACCT 350  with a C or better, or permission of the instructor.
  • ACCT 285  or ACCT 321  with a C or better and admission to the BAS Accounting program.

  • Implement and assess taxation provisions for corporations, trusts, and estates, ensuring comprehensive understanding of diverse tax environments.
