NURS 321 - Scholarly Inquiry Project Development 2 CR
Reviews basic research concepts, language, and processes. Working in learning teams, students develop a research proposal to study a health-related issue. Students increase informational literacy skills to critically appraise and interpret research studies and review the steps required to develop a scholarly leadership project.
Prerequisite(s): Acceptance into BSN program and successful completion of NURS 320 .
Course Outcomes

Appraise interrelationships of nursing theory, practice, and research.

Evaluate the credibility of sources of information, including but not limited to databases and internet resources.

Evaluate the nurse’s role in the protection of human subjects and social justice in the conduct of research.

Utilize the basic elements of the research process to evaluate evidence focusing on planning, implementing, and evaluating outcomes of care.

Analyze principles and models of evidence-based practice.

Utilize research findings to address nursing practice problems.
