OLS 102 - Human Sexuality 2 CR
Students explore the social and physical aspects of sexuality, and begin to critically think about how human sexuality impacts social relationships, lifelong decisions, and personal choices. Course is graded Credit/No Credit.

To develop, a greater overall appreciation of self as a sexual being, in the light of an evolving understanding of cross cultural, religious, historical, and physiological perspectives and to develop a greater tolerance and understanding of others as unique sexual beings.

Explain the difference among biological sex, gender identity, gender expression, and sexual orientation; correctly defines “transgender,” “gender non-conforming,” and “non-binary”

To understand related sexual issues such as sexual violence and sexual harassment.

Define and describe sexually transmitted Infections & safer sex practices

To understand the anatomy and physiology of sexual functioning in both men and women including genetics, menstruation, birth control, conception, pregnancy/pregnancy options, & birth.

Discuss intimacy and sexuality in relationships.
- Discuss conditions impacting sexual and reproductive function - substance abuse, injury/disability, chronic illness, and medication for illness.
