HLTH 212 - Mindfulness and Meditation

Students will explore moving and stationary meditation and mindfulness approaches to improve balance, flexibility, coordination and stress management techniques. Centering practices will help participants deal more effectively with a high paced demanding environment. 

Course Outcomes
  • Explore meditation and mindfulness basics.
  • Apply methods to focus and relax the mind.
  • Develop and build a habit of practicing meditation every day.
  • Gain a greater appreciation of the connection between effective mindfulness practices and the human body’s immune response.
