NURSL 123 - Nursing Care of the Adult Client I Lab 1 CR
Students apply foundational concepts of safety related to patient-centered care in the laboratory. Concepts of Quality Safety Education in Nursing (QSEN) are emphasized. Students gain confidence in articulating nursing priorities, developing clinical reasoning, and reflective practice. Prepares students for clinical rotations. Grading: Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory.
Prerequisite(s): NURS 120 with a grade of C or better, and NURS 121 with credit.
Course Outcomes
- Assess clients for changes in health status.
- Identify relevant pathophysiology specific to the client’s selected diagnoses.
- Perform psychomotor interventions safely and effectively.
- Appreciate and summarize feedback in order to make appropriate changes in behavior.
