Digital Marketing, BAS

The Bachelor of Applied Science (BAS) in Digital Marketing degree provides students with current digital skills that are most requested by local employers: mobile marketing and advertising, online video content creation, social media marketing, search engine optimization, paid search, display advertising, customer relationship marketing (CRM), marketing analytics, and website design. This hands-on skill development complements a critical thinking framework built around marketing strategy. Such training will position graduates to tackle roles in the creation and use of digital marketing across multiple media platforms.

Learning Outcomes

Degree recipients should possess the skills & abilities described below:

  • Establish business and marketing objectives
  • Translate objectives into integrated marketing strategies that lean heavily on digital platforms
  • Create and re-purpose content for the digital environment
  • Optimize marketing campaigns based on campaign results
  • Utilize marketing efforts to establish future product innovation and extensions

Program Eligibility

Individuals must have:

  • Completion of all prerequisite course requirements with a “C” grade or better 

  • Minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 in all college courses

  • Associate degree in Marketing, Business, or related field, or completion of 90 credits of the program prerequisites or equivalent credits that represent the combination of program admission required courses and other college-level credits.

Degree Requirements

Completion of all required courses as shown in the worksheet. 
In addition to eligibility requirements, students must also achieve the following: 

  • Complete all courses required for the degree with a grade of “C” or better
  • A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 for all coursework taken at BC and the courses applied to the degree, including credits transferred from other colleges
  • At least 45 quarter credits for the degree must be completed in residence at Bellevue College, of which 30 credits must be upper-division. 

Application Process

This is a selective admissions program. Meeting minimum requirements does not guarantee admission, as the number of qualified applicants may exceed the number of available seats in the program. It is recommended that students meet with the program manager before filling out the BAS application to make sure they qualify.  Check the program’s website today to see if you are ready to apply and schedule an appointment.

To be considered for the Bachelor of Applied Science in Digital Marketing program, prospective students must submit the following:

  • First-time Bellevue College students must apply for General Admission before filling out the BAS degree application. Processing time for general admissions is typically 1-3 business days.
  • All students who have transfer credits will need to follow the steps for submitting official transcripts from all regionally accredited colleges attended other than Bellevue College. This will include completing the program-specific Transfer Credit Request form for each transcript. Your application can be reviewed with unofficial transcripts. However, your acceptance into the program will not be determined until official transcripts have been received and evaluated.
  • Fill out and submit the BAS application. The Application Fee of $50 will be accepted at the time of completion. You will also be required to upload all unofficial transcripts if not already on file with Bellevue College.
